Dear Friends and Members:
Greetings to everyone. It has been a busy and blessed summer, and I would like to thank each of you for a wonderful season. Services were very well attended this summer, and together we enjoyed several great events. Thanks all for your fellowship and love!
I know you will join me in extending special thanks to the members of the Prophet Elias and Holy Trinity Choirs who, at their own expense, came to be with us for our blessed and holy Feastday. The day was a great success. Please extend your thanks to our sister parish when you have the opportunity. Soon it will be time to solicit nominations and applications for the parish council, and I hope many of you will consider offering your time and talents to run and possibly serve in this capacity. It is important to have participation of members in the leadership of the parish. Please consider running for the council, offering to chair a particular project or need important to you, teaching Sunday School, taking some responsibility for beginning a choir, or any number of other possibilities. Make a positive choice to step into a leadership role in some area, and not a negative choice to complain about the lack of a program or a program that is not meeting your expectations. The current council will be extremely supportive of your constructive ideas to build our parish, so please come forward. You, and all of us, will truly be blessed through your leadership or participation.
A note of information to those who may have old keys to the Church or hall, the locks have been re-keyed. Members of the council are available and very happy to open and close the hall at any times needed, so please expect to call with as much advance notive as the situation allows.
Best wishes to all of you beginning school, jumping back into fall routines or beginning something new. May our Lord and Savior bless your work (and play) in His vineyard. Have a wonderful year!
Sincerely,
Danny Thiros
Parish Council President
