Parish Council President's Letter

November 1, 2006

Dear Friends,

I write to you in good faith and thanks for all that has been accomplished at Assumption this year. A wonderful and loving Church family has made this year one of fellowship, growth and good will. Thank you all for your participation and support.

From time to time I continue to contact His Emminence Metropolitan Isaiah to inquire about the status of the assignment of a permanent parish priest to Assumption. At this time a permanent priest has not been identified for our Parish. Rumors have circulated within our community about the interest of a couple of individuals, however, I have asked specificallya bout these people and there are no candidates at this time. Please know that upon receiving any information, I will immediately get the latest official news to all in the community.

With improved attendance, increased stewardship, and a generally increasing level of participation across the community, we are making an effort to move from an average of two services to three services each month. We are so fortunate to have the love and devotion of Fr. Elias and Presvytera, and of Fr. John who is making occasional trips to be with us. With this arrangement, Assumption continues to gain financial strength, and through the people our ministries, fellowship and other activities are slowly growing. Thank you all! You have demonstrated that a community is made great and glorifies God by the work and faith of its members. As we continue to become a stronger Church Family, good things will happen. We enjoy the luxury of time to wait for the assignment of the very best and right permanent priest for our Parish. Let us continue, with God's guidance and help. to build a community that will be in a strong position to attract and welcome that individual.

As we enter the last two months of 2006, it is an appropriate time to consider the many blessings we have enjoyed this year. I'm sure that each of us can call to mind many good and full blessings for which we owe thanks and worship to God. Please remember to complete your free will stewardship offering to His Church. Prayerfully consider a commitment that reflects the bounty you have received from above. Thank you all for your kind support and friendship.

Sincerely,

Danny H. Thiros
Parish Council President

Stewardship Program Update

October 23, 2006

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Since our letter to you last month, we have gained several new stewards and enjoyed a truly generous and joyous amount of stewardship support! We are rolling toward our goal with high hopes that we will hit our $40,000 target this year! It is a lofty goal, but with the participation of each and every member with an offering that reflects the hearts and blessings of each of us, we will be able to succeed.

It is the time of year to meet as a Parish for the General Assembly, and to elect a new Parish Council. Please remember that in order to participate (and your participation is extremely important) it is necessary to be a member in good standing. As many of us make our offerings at year end, it will be important to become current prior to these important events.

As we continue to enjoy success in our stewardship program, it is our prayer that your offerings have enriched your life and faith. Please take the opportunity in November and December to complete or enhance your 2006 offering. God Bless!

Our goal remains $40,000. Join us in worship and praise, and in returning to God a portion of His gifts to us. May God bless you, inspire you an dcontinue to enrich you and your work in His vineyard! Thank you!

In His service,

+Fr. Elias Koucos
